Native SegWit Bitcoin Accounts
The most recent desktop version (1.63) of Brave Wallet introduces Native SegWit Bitcoin accounts.
This advanced feature offers users lower transaction fees and improved error detection capabilities, streamlining the coin experience and guaranteeing enhanced security and reliability for users’ digital asset transactions.
Moreover, Brave Wallet’s extensive support caters to all significant BTC address formats, including Legacy, Nested SegWit, Native SegWit, and Taproot.

To start using Bitcoin in Brave Wallet, users need to open the wallet on their computers, click the expanded menu in the top right corner of the panel, select “Create Account”, and choose “Bitcoin”.
Brave Wallet plans to expand its crypto capabilities further. In partnership with Zcash and the Filecoin Foundation, the wallet will soon introduce shielded Zcash transactions, enhancing privacy and security for users.
