Key Points
- CleanSpark Inc. mined 7,024 bitcoins in 2024, bringing its total holdings to 9,952 BTC.
- The company’s growth was boosted by strategic expansions and improved mining efficiencies.
CleanSpark Inc., a prominent player in the Bitcoin mining sector, recently published a report detailing its mining activities for the year 2024. The company successfully mined 668 bitcoins in December alone, and a total of 7,024 bitcoins throughout the year. By the end of 2024, CleanSpark’s total Bitcoin holdings had reached an impressive 9,952.
Zach Bradford, the CEO and President of CleanSpark, acknowledged the company’s significant growth in 2024. He highlighted their leadership in hashrate, cost reduction, fleet performance improvement, and efficient management of Bitcoin holdings.
Exceeding Expectations and Setting Records
Bradford noted that CleanSpark surpassed its own expectations in 2024. The company achieved a hashrate of 39.1 exahashes per second and increased the efficiency of its equipment. These milestones were reached ahead of schedule. In December 2024, CleanSpark’s average hashrate was 35.52 exahashes per second, and their fleet efficiency was 18.06 J/Th of energy. This led to an average of 21.56 bitcoins being mined each day, with a record high of 22.46 bitcoins mined in a single day. CleanSpark also sold 12.65 bitcoins in December 2024 at an average price of approximately $101,246 per Bitcoin.
Strategic Expansion Fuels Growth
CleanSpark’s impressive growth was also driven by its strategic expansion into new states. The company broadened its operations into Mississippi, Tennessee, and Wyoming, while also expanding its existing mining sites. In Clinton, Mississippi, two Bitcoin mining facilities equipped with S21 Pro miners became fully operational, achieving a combined hashrate of about 1 EH/s.
In Jackson, Tennessee, the first phase of a 60 MW mining site featuring 12 MW of the latest S21 XP Immersion miners was completed. The second phase, currently under development, will add another 48 MW of air-cooled S21 Pro miners. Once fully operational, the Jackson site is expected to boost CleanSpark’s total hashrate by approximately 3.7 EH/s.
The company celebrated a significant achievement when it mined its 20,000th Bitcoin, a testament to its rapid growth since its inception just four years prior. CleanSpark aims to reach 50 exahashes per second (EH/s) by mid-2025 and is poised to lead the Bitcoin mining industry with its ambitious growth strategy and innovative approach.
