As reported by The Guardian, Jatinder Singh, who unexpectedly received a staggering AUSD 10.47 million (approximately $6.7 million), is now confronting theft charges.
The Accidental Millionaire
The story began when Singh made an attempt to fund his Crypto.com account using his partner, Thevamanogari Manivel’s bank account. Due to a mismatch in names between the bank account and the Crypto.com account, the company flagged the transaction and decided to issue a refund. However, instead of refunding the correct amount of roughly AUSD 64, a clerical error led to Singh receiving millions.
