Quick Take

  • A mysterious crypto whale, “0x6436,” bought another 373,730 HYPE tokens worth $36 million. In fact, over the past month, this whale purchased 4.7 million HYPE tokens, approximately worth $400 million.
  • This accumulation comes just ahead of HYPE’s scheduled Binance spot listing, raising questions about whether the whale knows something the broader market doesn’t.
  • From a price action perspective, HYPE’s short-term bias appears bullish, with the token currently testing key local support at the $89.75 level.
  • Despite the bullish outlook, intraday traders appear to be betting on short positions, while the long/short ratio has also fallen below 1.

The bullish sentiment around Hyperliquid (HYPE) is intensifying, as the token secured a spot listing on Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange. This spot listing has opened the door for more crypto investors to access and trade the HYPE token on the exchange.

HYPE Goes Live on Binance Spot Market

According to the latest Binance update, the exchange announced HYPE listing on September 24, 2026, opening HYPE/USDT, HYPE/USDC, and HYPE/TRY spot trading pairs. Reports show that HYPE carries Binance’s Seed Tag.

Meanwhile, Hyperliquid is the leading decentralized perpetual futures exchange by normalized trading volume, with HYPE’s market capitalization at about $21 billion as of September 24.

However, the Binance listing is not the only factor driving HYPE’s bullish sentiment. Multiple reports have revealed that crypto whales have also shown strong interest in the asset ahead of the listing.

According to crypto transaction tracker Lookonchain, a crypto whale recently added 373,730 HYPE tokens worth $36 million. Over the past month, the whale has purchased 4.70 million HYPE tokens worth $400 million.

Despite these bullish developments, the HYPE price has continued to move sideways over the past 48 hours. Today, the asset trades at $93, up 0.88% over the past 24 hours. Alongside the price, HYPE’s trading volume jumped 8.85% to $3.72 billion during the same period.

This rise in trading volume alongside the price suggests that market participants are showing growing interest in the current trend, which could be a bullish signal for the asset.

HYPE Price Action Signals Further Upside

Price action indicated that HYPE could continue its upward momentum in the coming days. As per the TradingView daily chart, HYPE’s short-term bias appears bullish, with the asset poised for further upside. The chart shows that the asset has successfully tested $89.75, a breakout level that previously acted as strong resistance.

Following this breakout and retest, HYPE sentiment turned bullish. If the asset remains above the $89.75 level, HYPE could see further gains and even reach a new all-time high (ATH) in the coming days. However, if it fails to sustain the $89.75 level, a potential correction could follow.

At press time, HYPE price traded above the 200-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA), indicating that broader market sentiment remained bullish and that bulls continued to dominate the asset. Meanwhile, its Average Directional Index (ADX) at 43.46 suggests strong trend strength.

HYPE: Traders Sentiment Remains Bearish

From the derivatives perspective, HYPE’s short-term bias appears bearish, as intraday traders appear to be favoring short positions. CoinGlass’s HYPE long/short ratio at press time stood below 1 at 0.996, indicating bearish sentiment among traders.

Meanwhile, $89.90 on the lower side and $95.51 on the upper side are the two key levels where traders appear overleveraged. In fact, traders at these levels have built $17.55 million worth of long positions and $20.77 million worth of short positions. These bets together suggest that traders are eyeing a potential price decline.

Considering all these developments, HYPE’s overall price structure appears bullish, supported by its recent Binance listing, whale accumulation, and bullish price action. However, traders’ bearish bets suggest that the token could face a short-term correction in the coming days.
