RWAs are nearing a new milestone, but shifting capital and rising chain competition could change what comes next.

The tokenized real-world asset market just flirted with a fresh all-time high. Valuation is nearing $45 billion this week alone.
However, stocks remain a tiny slice despite constant hype. Meanwhile, a fierce chain war is unfolding beneath the surface with Avalanche leading the move.
Tokenized assets continue climbing toward new record highs this week. The overall RWA market capitalization is nearing $45 billion.
This marks one of the strongest growth phases the sector has seen recently.

Despite constant attention, tokenized stocks still command a very small market share. Funds and treasury products continue to dominate total market value, while stocks remain more of a headline story than a market mover.
Tokenized stocks have amassed over 2.25 million individual asset holders globally. Of these, 10.3% are concentrated specifically around SpaceX holdings.
SpaceX alone accounts for 234,325 holders, an outsized share. This concentration shows how one asset can dominate holder distribution entirely.

Despite this holder enthusiasm, stocks still command very little overall market share. Stocks currently sit at just 6.4% of the total RWA market share.
The market remains dominated by funds instead of tokenized equities. US T-bills, yield strategies, and credit funds lead this dominance clearly. Combined, these fund-based instruments command 76.5% of the market.

This gap highlights investor preference for yield-bearing, lower-volatility instruments right now.
Stocks may carry hype, but funds carry the actual capital. That balance could shift as tokenized equity products mature further.
Holders are increasingly experimenting across different blockchain networks this week. This is evident in the fact that Avalanche emerged as the standout performer over the last 24 hours. The chain noted an additional $5.7 million in market cap.
In doing so, Avalanche outpaced BNB Chain, Solana, and Ethereum during this specific window. This is rather interesting, given Ethereum's historical grip on real-world assets. Smaller chains are clearly starting to capture fresh momentum.

Despite this daily win, Ethereum still leads overall RWA market share significantly.
Ethereum commands 52% domination across the broader tokenized asset market. BNB Chain holds the second position, commanding 12.7% of the market.
Avalanche, despite its recent surge, sits at a meagre 3% share. The daily win shows momentum, not yet a structural takeover.

This kind of movement is still a healthy sign for the ecosystem. As the market expands, monopoly-like dominance naturally starts to reduce. Chain wars, when the market expands, tend to signal a healthy market.
Increased competition between chains generally benefits users through better infrastructure choices. It also pushes protocols to innovate faster in terms of cost and speed.
A single-chain monopoly rarely proved beneficial for the long-term ecosystem health. Avalanche's short-term win may not shake Ethereum's dominant position immediately.
However, it does show holders’ willingness to explore alternatives actively. That willingness alone could reshape competitive dynamics over time.
As RWA valuations approach new highs, distribution across chains matters increasingly. Holder concentration, like SpaceX's heavy grip, also reveals fragility within segments. Diversification, both in assets and chains, may define the sector's next phase.
For now, funds still anchor the market, and stocks still trail behind. Chains keep jostling for daily wins, while Ethereum retains its structural lead.
The broader RWA story remains one of expansion, layered with active competition. Investors and builders alike will watch closely to see which chain captures the next big wave of tokenized capital.
