Bitcoin Price Warning: What if it Keeps Rejecting $87K?
Bitcoin has bounced hard from $60K, but sellers keep defending $87K. Rekt Capital lays out the levels that decide whether Bitcoin grinds higher or flips.

The Bitcoin price is stuck in a tight spot. BTC has climbed back from the $59,000 to $63,000 region, but every push toward $87,000 has been sold.
Analyst Rekt Capital says the next few weekly candles could decide whether Bitcoin builds a base above $80,000 or slips lower to form the right side of a larger bullish pattern.
On the weekly chart, Rekt Capital tracks a macro range between $60,000 and $80,000. Bitcoin is still trying to retest the top of that range as new support. So far, those retests have been shaky and have produced little follow-through.

If the $80,000 region keeps producing smaller and smaller reactions, the analyst sees a real chance of the Bitcoin price dropping into the upper half of the macro range. That would put the $70,000 to $80,000 band in play as a home for a right shoulder.
Above current prices sits a range BTC has failed to reach and resynchronize with. Its lower boundary sits around $86,681 to $87,400, and its upper boundary sits at $93,659.
As long as Bitcoin stays out of that range, it will likely keep trading between the lower boundary and the $78,000 to $81,000 support zone until a retest fails one way or the other. Right now, the Bitcoin price is rejecting from $87.4K, the very bottom of that overhead range.
If BTC keeps getting turned away at $87.4K without buyers stepping in with real volume, Rekt Capital reads that as a sign of weakness. It would suggest demand near $80,000 is fading.
The chart also puts $82,500 on the radar. Bulls need to defend this level to keep the post-breakout structure intact. A weekly close above $86,681, followed by a clean retest, would push Bitcoin price to $93,659.
For now, Bitcoin is holding $80,000 as support. Rekt Capital notes that the positioning for a bullish move is in place. What’s missing is the buying volume to back it up.
Continued clustering above $80,000 counts as bullish confirmation to a degree. As long as the Bitcoin price stays above that level, it can still rally higher.
A failed retest of $80,000 changes things. Price would drop back into the $60,000 to $80,000 structure, most likely its upper portion, with the mid-range sitting near $70,000.
Below that, the $59,000 to $63,000 zone is the major floor. In the bullish case, BTC holds $82,500, breaks above $86,681 and turns it into support, with $93,659 as the next target.
In the bearish case, rejection at $86,681 continues, $82,500 gives way, and the Bitcoin price slides toward $78,000 to $81,000. If that zone fails too, the $59,000 to $63,000 region comes back into focus.
Rekt Capital ties the right shoulder idea to Bitcoin’s four-year cycle. In past cycles, Bitcoin has tended to build a re-accumulation range in the early pre-halving year. If the $80,000 area fails to bring enough buyers, that history could repeat in early 2027.
This cycle has moved faster than earlier ones. A probable bear market bottom may already be in, and it arrived sooner and at a much shallower retrace than usual.
If Bitcoin fails to build a re-accumulation range in 2026, the analyst says that would be strong evidence of a slowing cycle after a few months of sharp upside.
