Quick Take:

  • RWA market value held near $34.7 billion this week, just off its 10 July record of $35.2 billion.
  • Fee data across the 15 most-funded projects shows revenue rarely tracks funding, with Centrifuge out-earning rivals that raised 14x more.
  • Flow Carbon, which raised $70 million from VCs and a token presale, sits inactive after quitting crypto entirely.
  • Tokenized Treasuries remain the anchor at $15.86 billion, with tokenized-stock holders up 75% in a month.

The RWA market spent the week doing something unusual for crypto: consolidating near a record instead of round-tripping it. Distributed value held around $34.7 billion, and a fresh look at what the sector's best-funded names actually earn shows the money and the revenue live in very different places. One $70 million name earns nothing at all, because it quietly left crypto altogether.

Here is the state of real-world assets (RWAs) this week, in the numbers that matter.

How Big is the RWA Market This Week?

Tokenized RWAs held $34.67 billion in distributed value this week, according to recent data from rwa.xyz, a slight pullback from the record $35.2 billion set on 10 July. The 30-day trend is still up 3.53%, and the yearly one is emphatic: the market has nearly tripled from roughly $11.8 billion in mid-2025.

Tokenized US Treasuries remain the anchor at $15.86 billion, up 2.23% over 30 days across 85 tracked assets, with Ethereum carrying the largest share at $7.1 billion, followed by BNB Chain at $4.7 billion and Stellar at $1.2 billion.

Analysts pointed out that tokenized asset growth is set to explode. The total holder count of onchain tokenized equities has now surged to a record 759,000. This metric is up +92% over the last 30 days and +522% year-to-date.

The growth continues to be fueled by demand to trade tokenized equities outside of regular market hours. Amid this trend, the world's largest onchain platform, Jupiter, has reported +360% YTD growth in off-market monthly trading volume.

Chip and memory stocks have become the most popular tokenized assets in the onchain market. In fact, it is expected to have 1+ million tokenized equity holders by year-end.

The fastest-moving corner is equities. Tokenized stock holders jumped 75.71% in 30 days, helped by JPMorgan's JLTXX fund gaining 87.23% in the same window.

CoinGecko's RWA token category, which counts the market caps of RWA-linked coins, sits near $63.6 billion.

Funding vs Fees: What the Top 15 RWA Projects Earn

A ranking of the sector's 15 most-funded projects against their daily fees, shared this week on X, makes the week's sharpest point: capital raised and revenue earned barely correlate.

Canton Network tops the fee column at $1.76 million in 24 hours, though the compiler flags that figure as chain fees plus heavy incentives. The cleaner story sits just below.

Centrifuge, which raised $52.5 million, earned $567,220 in a day, out-earning Securitize's $515,166 on $746.75 million raised, roughly 14 times the funding. Ondo Finance turned $46 million raised, the second-smallest war chest on the list, into $302,262 of daily fees. Midas ($109,486) and Superstate ($83,784) also punch above their funding.

Then there is the other end. BlackOpal's $200 million raise currently produces $769 a day, and eight of the 15, including Figure and its sector-leading $2.53 billion raised, disclose no revenue at all. One-day fee prints are noisy, and incentive programs can flatter them, but the pattern reads clearly: in RWAs, distribution and product beat treasury size.

Flow Carbon: The $70 Million Cautionary Tale

One row on the list earns nothing by choice. Flow Carbon, the carbon-credit tokenization venture co-founded by WeWork's Adam Neumann, sits marked inactive after fully stepping away from crypto.

The company raised $70 million in 2022, about $32 million in venture funding led by a16z with General Catalyst and Samsung Next, plus roughly $38 million from the presale of its Goddess Nature Token. The token never launched. Carbon registries pushed back on tokenizing retired credits, markets turned, and by late 2024 the company was quietly refunding token buyers under confidentiality agreements while pivoting its remaining business away from blockchain entirely.

For a sector now measured in the tens of billions, it is a useful reminder of the survivorship in every chart: the winners tokenize Treasuries and credit; the casualties tokenized a thesis.

Is RWA Really Crypto's Most Decentralized Sector?

The analyst behind the table draws an upbeat conclusion: RWA is now one of the most decentralized areas of crypto, with no single dominant player, and the sector's golden days still ahead.

Half of that holds up cleanly. By platform, the fee table shows a genuinely spread field: Canton, Centrifuge, Securitize, Ondo, and Midas all earning meaningfully, with no operator taking anywhere near all of it. By asset, however, the market stays top-heavy. Figure's HELOC token alone represents around $20 billion of value, and sector research this year found a small cluster of assets holding the overwhelming majority of total value.

The honest framing: decentralized by venue, concentrated by asset. That said, the direction supports the optimists. A year ago, this was a Treasuries market with a few names; this week's data shows credit, stocks, gold, and funds all earning across a dozen platforms.

Whether the golden days are ahead comes down to three things worth watching from here: whether the weekly rwa.xyz print reclaims $35.2 billion, whether DTCC's October expansion pulls Wall Street volume on-chain, and whether the fee table's middle class keeps growing. This week, all three arrows pointed the right way. The one pointing down belonged to the project that stopped showing up.

FAQs:

How big is the RWA market right now? Tokenized real-world assets held $34.67 billion in distributed value this week, per rwa.xyz, just below the record $35.2 billion set on 10 July 2026 and nearly triple the level of a year ago.

Which RWA projects earn the most fees? Among the 15 most-funded projects, Canton Network led with $1.76 million in daily fees (boosted by incentives), followed by Centrifuge at $567,220, Securitize at $515,166, and Ondo Finance at $302,262.

What happened to Flow Carbon? The Adam Neumann-backed venture raised $70 million in 2022, never launched its carbon-credit token, refunded buyers under confidentiality agreements, and has pivoted away from crypto entirely. It is listed as inactive.
