Crypto exchange-traded funds closed the week with a sharp split in investor sentiment, and one streak finally ended. According to the BlockInsider Crypto ETF Report, XRP funds logged their first weekly outflows in over three months.
Smaller altcoins such as Avalanche and Tron, however, remain stuck at zero as volatility weighs on investor appetite.
Bitcoin had a mixed week in the ETF market. Outflows dominated the early sessions, which pressured sentiment. However, buyers returned quickly and reversed the damage.
Spot Bitcoin products attracted $1 billion in inflows within 72 hours. That surge erased the earlier losses and restored the weekly picture. It also signals that institutional demand remains active during volatile stretches.

Ethereum told a different story. Its ETFs extended a streak of outflows that has now crossed $300 million. The altcoin king has failed to show any recovery in fund demand.
A 3.74% price drop today adds further pressure on ETH. Weak price action rarely encourages new allocations. Therefore, investors may stay cautious until the market finds firmer footing.

XRP took the spotlight this week with $1.84 million in outflows. On paper, the figure is modest. Its significance lies elsewhere. These were the first weekly outflows for XRP ETFs in over three months. The result breaks a positive streak that had made the token a consistent favorite among fund buyers. Even a small reversal can change how traders read momentum.
The timing adds context. For months, XRP ETFs saw only positive weekly flows. One negative week does not erase that record.

It does, however, end a run that had become routine.
First outflows after a long run can act as an early warning signal. The move does not confirm a trend. Still, it shows that demand is no longer one-directional.
Zcash moved in the opposite direction. ZEC ETFs recorded $15.81 million on October 21. That marks a welcome change after a month-long period of outflows. The direction of the flow matters more than its size here.

The shift matters because sustained fund demand can rebuild confidence in a token. ZEC finding investor support could help it reclaim its former glory.
A single day of inflows does not guarantee a recovery. Yet it shows that buyers are returning.
Avalanche had an interesting week of its own. AVAX ETFs recorded zero dollars in net flows over the past seven days. The four weeks before last were still positive. That makes the zero reading more notable.
That sudden stall raises a concern. If this momentum persists, AVAX could revisit its mid-June to early-August phase of no activity. Such a lull would mark a clear loss of investor attention.

Tron continues to draw little interest. The last time TRX ETFs noted any netflows came on September 15. Since then, netflows have remained at zero.
The pattern shows that volatility is hitting smaller altcoins hard. Capital is concentrating in Bitcoin and a few select names. Meanwhile, tokens with thinner demand risk fading from the ETF conversation.

The week's data points to a selective market. Bitcoin and Zcash attracted money, while Ethereum and XRP lost ground. Smaller names stayed idle. Ethereum's outflow streak shows no sign of stopping.
Upcoming weekly ETF reports will show whether XRP's outflow was a one-off or the start of a shift. They will also reveal whether Zcash can hold its fresh momentum.
