Five altcoins face decisive price tests this week as Solana nears a major upgrade and bearish charts threaten deeper losses.

The altcoin market is approaching a decisive week, with a major network upgrade, a looming mainnet launch, and protocol changes colliding with sharp price declines.
Some charts show recovery potential, while others warn of fresh breakdowns. Here’s BlockInsider’s analysis of the 5 tokens that investors should watch this week.
Memecore stood at $0.785, noting a 6% upside in the past 24 hours after declining over 11% during the previous day. Earlier, price sat below the 0.236 Fibonacci level at $0.809. The moving average at $0.918 and the Parabolic SAR at $0.843 both sat above price.
M had failed near $1.800 in September and trended lower since. Sellers broke $0.998 and then $0.809 during October. The Parabolic SAR flipped above price, which confirmed the drawdown. While further losses target $0.503, the all-time low, a daily close above $0.918 would invalidate the bearish thesis.

That move would clear the Parabolic SAR at $0.843 along the way. Buyers would then target $0.998.
SOL price can be seen changing hands at $105.03, hovering near the moving average at $105.35. Price sits between the 0.618 level at $110.95 and the 0.786 level at $100.77. The rally since August remains intact.
Solana prepares for its biggest upgrade yet, Alpenglow, arriving October 21. Buyers defended $100.77 on two recent tests.

The moving average now acts as a pivot for support. A close above $110.95 targets $125.25. A close below $100.77 would invalidate the bullish thesis. That break would lose the 0.786 support. The decline would then target $87.80, the 1.0 level.
KNTQ price traded at $0.3416 after a 12.11% daily gain. Price pressed against the descending trendline of a triangle pattern. Flat support at $0.286 anchors the base of the structure.
The triangle pairs lower highs with flat support, a setup with a bearish bias. Preparations for the mainnet launch offer a counterweight to that bias.

A close above $0.337 would break the trendline and target $0.383. Price could therefore break in either direction.
A close below $0.286 would confirm the bearish breakdown. That move targets $0.263, the 0.618 level, and then $0.230. Until a break occurs, price likely chops between the two boundaries.
Ethereum Name Service (ENS) price was at $5.42, below both 50-day and 200-day moving averages at $5.77 and $6.27. Price broke below its rising channel in October. It now sits just above $5.31 support.
ENS activates V2 this week, which would halt new v1 registrations. The upgrade moves the protocol fully under community governance. Holders vote on it, giving the token a direct say over the next generation. Even so, sellers formed a double top that projected a 29.16% drop to $4.36.

A daily close above $6.34 would invalidate the bearish thesis. That move would reclaim the channel and both moving averages. Buyers would then target the September high of $7.43.
BOME stood at $0.0006053 yesterday, after a 45.24% decline over the past week. Price sat on $0.0006039 support following a 2.70% daily loss. Both 50-day and 200-day moving averages, at $0.0008169 and $0.0007612, now slope above price.

BOME failed at $0.0011075 resistance on October 10 and reversed sharply. Sellers sliced through the moving averages and $0.0007418 support within days. A steady run of red candles shows sustained selling. A close below $0.0006039 exposes $0.0005125 and potentially $0.0005000.
A daily close above $0.0007418 would invalidate the bearish thesis. That move would reclaim the broken support. Buyers would then target the $0.0007612 moving average.
