NIGHT price climbed 159% through September and the opening days of October, reaching $0.048 on Oct. 1, 2026.
As such, the Midnight’s token staged its strongest recovery since an 87% plunge from its all-time high. The rally has not erased the damage from that earlier decline. It has, however, sharply changed the token’s recent trajectory.
NIGHT reached its highest price in six months, turning a prolonged drawdown into one of the more notable rebounds among smaller altcoins. CoinMarketCap data currently shows Midnight's all-time high of $1.81, recorded on Dec. 9, 2025. The token later fell to an all-time low of $0.01582 on July 20, 2026. The distance between these levels puts the recent bullish move into perspective.
NIGHT Price Rebounds From July Low
The recent rally accelerated sharply during the final weeks of September. NIGHT started its ascent from around $0.022 on Sept. 24 and reached $0.048 on Oct. 1, according to market data.
During the past 7 days, the token has gained more than 86% and posted eight consecutive days of gains. That shorter rally explains the scale of the larger September move. The NIGHT price had spent the summer mostly below its previous peak, so the return to $0.048 marks a distinct break from the recent range.
CoinMarketCap’s Oct. 2 data showed NIGHT trading around $0.0433, with a market capitalization of about $718.8 million and a 24-hour trading volume of $118.3 million. That placed the token below the $0.048 level reached during the earlier move but still substantially above the July low.
Cardano Midnight Advances as Development Milestones Near
The NIGHT price recovery also arrives as Cardano Midnight moves toward another stage of its technical roadmap. Midnight CTO Sebastien Guillemot said on Sept. 19 that smart-contract deployment on the mainnet was approaching.
Midnight Node 1.0.3 was released on Sept. 26, while the project’s v8 release is set to enable private contracts. A later v9 upgrade is expected to add composability, according to reporting on the development schedule.
The token has also moved against the direction of several larger privacy-focused assets. In the Oct. 1 market data, Zcash fell 5.44% over 24 hours, while Monero declined 1.06%. Cardano was down 3.23% during the same period. NIGHT, by contrast, was up 17.66%.
NIGHT Rally Fits a Wider Altcoin Rotation
The NIGHT price move is unfolding during a broader expansion in altcoin participation. Block Insider reported on Sept. 28 that 91 of the top 100 cryptocurrencies were higher over the previous three months. Zcash, NEAR, XRP and LIT were among the tokens highlighted in that recovery.
The following day, Block Insider reported that altcoin spot trading volume was approaching four times Bitcoin’s volume, based on Glassnode data. It described the ratio as the highest in about a year, while noting that the pattern itself does not predict a market top.
That backdrop matters because NIGHT’s rebound is no longer an isolated price chart. Broader market breadth has improved, while individual tokens are recording sharp moves of their own. Quant, for example, gained 34% as its founder sold nearly $7 million worth of QNT, according to Block Insider’s Oct. 1 report.
For Midnight, the numbers remain the clearest part of the story. The token rose 159% across September and early October, reached $0.048, and recorded its highest level in six months. The latest rally has not brought NIGHT close to its historical high. CoinMarketCap’s $1.81 record remains far above current levels.
Still, the rebound has materially altered the token’s recent chart. The NIGHT price moved from a July low of $0.01582 to the $0.048 area by the start of October, while shorter-term gains accelerated in the final week of September.
